A student at Purdue University was stabbed to death inside his dorm room on the Indiana school s campus early Wednesday, according to officials and preliminary autopsy results. A suspect, the victim s roommate, has been arrested in connection with the crime.The victim was identified as Varun Manish Chheda, 20, a senior at Purdue studyin stanley cup g data science. Results of the preliminary autopsy found that multiple sharp force traumatic injuries caused Chheda s death, according to the Tippecanoe County Coroner s Office, which conducted the exam. The suspected manner of death is homicide, with the final autopsy report pending results of a toxicology test.Sha reported his roommate s death to authorities after midnight.
